The Combined Cadet Force (CCF), available to Senior and Sixth pupils, endeavours to help young people develop and reach their full potential by fostering youth leadership and taking part in challenging, adventurous and fun activities.

Membership of the CCF is entirely voluntary but attracts a large number of students because of the range of activities offered.

The excellent instruction, equipment and accommodation of all three Services enable the School to offer a varied, challenging and demanding programme. Each year a large number of cadets participate in annual camps and visits which  have included Germany, Cyprus, Sennybridge and Pirbright.

In addition to these camps the cadets are also eligible for a wide variety of courses from leadership and survival, to powerboat training or gaining a Private Pilot’s licence.

Membership of the CCF involves effort and commitment and we see it as very important that cadets fulfil their responsibilities, be it as a recruit under instruction or a cadet instructor.

The opportunities for adventure and leadership provide cadets with valuable skills for adult life.
